The Intermediate Class started learning Zhong Wen book six in term three 2009. Lesson one was an article about a park and the author has described the park elegantly. After we learned this lesson, the students were asked to use as many descriptive words as possible to write an essay entitled “The garden in the red evening dusk”. Here is one of the articles:

晚霞中的公园

我家附近有一个公园叫Peace Park. 放学后妈妈, 妹妹和我每天都经过这里.

公园里到处都是鲜花和绿草. 有小水池, 美丽的鸟, 绿色的树, 在蓝天下显得格外宁静, 美丽.

公园里的鸟有很多不同的颜色. 有灰色, 白色, 黑色和七彩色的鸟, 这是我最喜欢的. 尤其是到了傍晚, 我们可以看到天空上出现着美丽的晚霞, 使看起来感到很温馨. 同时在黄昏的时刻, 我们可以看到平日宁静的公园, 到了这个时候就开始热闹起来, 因为有些人用过完善后便到公园散步, 还有可以听到鸟儿们回巢的鸟叫声. 同时在黄昏的时刻经过公园还可以闻到花儿所散发出来美丽的花香, 令人闻起来感到心旷神怡.
